Miles Christopher
Founder of The Folk Soul Movement
Miles Christopher is an artist & singer-songwriter born in the summer of 1985 in the outskirts of Los Angeles, California. He wrote and recorded his first song at the age of 18 and has since spent years developing his craft while gigging in bars and small venues. Miles has honed setlists that balance originals and well-chosen covers, arranging songs to hold attention as the room refills, the bartender pours, and the crowd’s mood shifts. With his acoustic guitar and confessional approach to songwriting, Miles Christopher has uncovered a sound that sways back and forth between Folk, Soul and Country-Rock.
Equally compelled by color and composition, Miles Christopher also confides in vivid visual arts—paintings, chalk and large-scale murals. His work has been featured in exhibitions at The Pasadena Museum of History (Pasadena, CA), dba265 Gallery (Pomona, CA) and La Bomba (Pomona, CA). Miles was recently honored with Pasadena Chalk Festival’s Best in Animation Award in 2023.
Whether performing solo with acoustic clarity or transforming a blank wall into a communal statement, his work seeks connection: honest, tactile, and unmistakably personal.
Miles Christopher's debut studio effort, the "Shadows" EP, produced by John Avila, is evidence of his passionate approach to the art of music.
